21st Birthday!!!
Today, 8 dec.... My 21st birthday!! I cant imagine I have been on this earth for 21 years liao... I've come a long way from being in diapers, to being toilet trained... Well, turning 21 seems to be a very big deal for most people.. Its when you can safely watch RA movies, its when you are handed the keys to adulthood, its when people treat you as a thinking, responsible adult, its when you start making important decisions in life.. Wow, seems to be a pretty big event eh.. Although I didnt hold any big parties or gatherings on my birthday, Im really happy and touched by the number of people that have expressed their wishings to me... I didnt know that so many people would know about my birthday and I must say, this is the most special birthday I have ever celebrated.. Ive come to realise that I am so wrong about people.. Some people actually do care about others... The human spirit is so wonderful!! Spending the day with my 2 best friends was the best present I have received.. Although all we did was sang a bit of KTV, ate a bit of sushi, grabbed ourselves some free starbucks coffee and sat at the comfortable sofa compliments of the DFS Orchard, the time spent together couldnt be replaced by anything in the world.. Especially the gift that I received, a porceln mug with three person sitting together under an umbrella, it read "Wherever you are, it is your friends who make your world"... So TRUE!!! Was almost in tears when I saw it... The future is so unpredictable and the thought of losing my friends in the future is just too much to bear.... I guess turning 21 isnt just about becoming an adult, it is about working hard to fulfill your dreams that you had when you were once a child, it is about realising the truth in life and to lead the rest of your adulthood as a responsible, thoughtful and sincere person....
